I am fashion crazy; I love everything about the industry and the clothes. I literally live for fashion, (no exaggeration; my money always seems to go on clothes, shoes, handbags or accessories....!!). I admire individuality and the fearless; I adore to people watch and see admire other peoples styles and I gain lots of inspiration from that. I see fashion as an art form; a way to express yourself and be creative. To me, clothes are not something you just wear - they are part of you and your personality. It's important to cultivate your own style, something that lets the world know that this is how you are! Fashion is for everyone, we can all develop our own signature style and I hope The Chic Guide will help you and others to be more creative and bold!
Remember - Fashion should always be fun, no matter what age, size or shape you are; so be adventurous, try something that you never would or thought you would or could wear, be yourself and most importantly be FABULOUS and CHIC!

Bernie Dexter's Rockabilly-Girl-Clothing

The beautiful and ever talented Ms. Bernie Dexter has been the reigning queen of pin-up for a many years and throughout her successful career has modelled for many famous brands such as Bettie Page  and What Katie Did to name a few. Her face has become synonymous with retro style and beauty of a bygone era.  Alongside her busy modelling schedule, she has also turned to fashion designing. Bernie's clothing line Rockabilly-Girl-Clothing is definitely one not to be missed. Her designs, while true to her own rockabilly style, are elegant yet playful with strong influences from the 1940's and 50's. Her inspiration comes from her own love of retro fashion and being an avid collector of vintage clothing. As Bernie admits that she often found it hard to find certain styles or sizes that were the perfect fit, the solution, she developed her own clothing line which not only celebrates the female form but embraces all the essential elements of feeling like a pin-up queen too! Bernie consistently produces styles that suit all shapes and sizes, with just the right amount of sexiness to make any women feel fabulous! Check out her website to check stockists or to purchase Rockabilly-Girl-Clothing at: www.berniedexter.com . You can find her also on Facebook and on Twitter.   Here is a selection of some of my favourite pieces from her line. I'm already a big fan!
